Nagauta no Kai vol. 42

Business Overview
The Nagauta Society was started with a passion for "All Nagauta which have been polished by many masters are surely wonderful. I want everyone to enjoy and like it more and more." In the 42nd festival, three nagauta and a composition composed only of shamisen were performed.
"Geki Saru" begins happily with the beating of a drum to express the liveliness of the show house. "Keisei," which depicts an oiran in Yoshiwara. "Tsunadate" was like a life-or-death energy rally, and was a grand demon extermination. The composition of Aikata introduces the charm of Nagauta-shamisen. In the talk by Tetsukuro MATSUNAGA during the intermission, he guided the audience to listen to the music from the viewpoint of a shamisen player. They performed "Daisatsuma" as an encore and the audience was excited. By viewing the performance as a space art, he aimed to create a sense of excitement from the lobby and have the audience go home with the energy from the stage.
