Business Overview

Akiko FUJIMOTO, who leads the classical music performance in the contemporary jiuta sokyoku world, showed the world the charm and real value of classical jiuta sokyoku through sokyoku ensemble with fellow students who were trained by her grandmother Keiko ABE and her mother Kunie FUJII (Living National Treasure), two sankyoku ensembles with the most trusted musicians, and joint performance with the famous violinist Yasuko OTANI. In addition, for the purpose of discovering and fostering the next generation of sangen, koto and shakuhachi musicians, a grand ensemble of 36 musicians in 'Onoe no Matsu' was set as the finale to kick off the performance series' The Power of Transmission: Classical Tomorrow (tentative name) 'which was to be developed for the next 3 years. A total of five pieces of jiuta koto music were performed.

Based on the results of the Jiuta Live (Held 100 times in total from April 2021 to November 21), it was established for the purpose of expanding the performance activities of Jiuta and Kokyoku performer Akiko Fujimoto, and creating a place to nurture younger generations of her as a successor of Jiuta and Sokyoku that has been handed down from the Edo period to today.
The activities of this group are based on delivering the true value and charm of jiuta sokyoku, which has never faded even today, to the audience through excellent performances, and to pass on the performance techniques that have been passed down to the present to the next generation without losing them.
