Mizuki Aida Percussion Recital 2025



Business Overview
Starting 40 years after the death of composer Yoshio Hachimura, who is deeply admired by Mizuki Aida, this recital expresses Mizuki Aida's unique style of music. Iwami Rena, Kawamura Ayane, and Nakagawa Toshiro played alongside Hachimura's tense masterpiece "Seishinpu" and Aida Mizuki's new work "Suikyotan."
He also reprised the masterpieces of contemporary Japanese music, Yuasa Joji and Mamiya Yoshio, left for Aida. The first half of the concert was based on the theme of "Asia in the Present," and featured a new work by the brilliant Thai artist Piyawat Louilarppraser, and a piece by Shion Sawara that reflects the memory of the Ainu people.

Since his debut in 2010, Mizuki Aida has always looked at music from multiple angles and put it into action. Seeking to expand his repertoire for percussion instruments, especially vibraphone, he has collaborated with many composers to see the future of music through more than 300 premieres.
As a composer, he has developed a wide range of creative activities including orchestral music, chamber music, and songs as well as percussion instruments. Michio Kitazume has described his music as "music with a good perspective" from the perspective of a performer, and his activities have not stopped. In recent years, he has been well known for his dynamic teaching that utilizes his bold ideas in education.
