20 stringed Soh exhibition produced by Nanae YOSHIMURA, Vol. 37, mainly commissioned works

Business Overview
This concert was organized by Nanae YOSHIMURA, a specialist of 20 stringed Soh who was in charge of planning, and his friends in Soh who agreed with his idea. The '20 stringed Soh' is a new Soh devised by a composer Minoru MIKI and a performer Keiko NOSAKA in 1969.
The purpose of this concert was to deepen the works for the 20 stringed Soh which had been commissioned to composers for Yoshimura's recitals and concerts in traditional Japanese music exhibitions, and to leave a video for future performers.

Profile
[Yoshimura Nanaekoto Research Institute]
Since 1997, Yoshimura Nanaekoto has been sponsoring a series of concerts by young musicians, with the main purpose of performing and passing down the masterpieces spun by the 20 stringed koto born in 1969. Since 1999, he has collaborated with composer Tamura Fumio (Associate Professor, Kobe University) and added a new activity called "Contemporary Koto" to announce collaborations between composers and musicians. Recently, both activities have been integrated into the 'Japanese music exhibition.'.
With a wish for further progress in presenting the history and future of modern music with koto, it has been held under the title (Japanese Music Exhibition vol. 22) since 2010. Volume 35 was held in 2022. After that, the exhibition was renamed 20 and held <20 Stringed Soh Exhibition - Revised Japanese Music Exhibition - Vol. 36> in May 2024.
