[Public Interest Incorporated Association Japan Theater Company Association]
Established in 1992 as the parent organization of the New Theater Company Association, it was recognized as a public interest incorporated association in 2012. It carries out projects related to the promotion of contemporary theater, promotes exchanges and collaborations among theater creative organizations, fosters the next generation of theater artists, spreads theater activities throughout the country, creates a comfortable society through theater activities, and contributes to the development and improvement of art and culture. There are currently 50 regular member groups and 12 supporting member groups and 1 individual.
