Business Overview

As a rakugo show and a kodan show that people who have never been to an entertainment show can participate in with interest, three performances with different themes and colors were held. The town chosen as the venue was Shimokitazawa, where various cultures are mixed, and Alley Hall, which is close to the train station. The first event began with a search for rakugo scripts written by people who did not make their day jobs in the entertainment industry, and the "Wada Makoto Rakugokai for the First Time in 50 Years" was held to reprise rakugo created by the designer Wada Makoto. In this event, not only rakugo but also songs and kamikiri are performed. It was intended to be a lively gathering like a yose, where men and women of all ages can enjoy. In the second event, in order to convey the appeal of kodan, which is less familiar to the general public than rakugo, a female koshaku storyteller, who is currently gaining popularity, was invited to give a lecture on 'rakugo and kodan,' focusing on kodan. The third event was a collaboration between rakugo and theater called "Rakugo with Hanashika and Actor: Ichigen-koku." This was not performed by actors alone, but the characters appeared in real life from the stories told by the storytellers.

Profile

[horo books vaudeville club]
We love vaudeville, but it's not our main business to produce vaudeville. Our main business has been designing, exhibiting, making books, and editing. However, for this reason, he has a different perspective from traditional performing arts presenters, and he organizes rakugo and kodan gatherings with the goals of creating small places where traditional performing arts can be enjoyed in the city (everyday), collaborating with traditional performing arts and other genres (Literature, theater, art, etc.), and creating new scripts.
