Business Overview
"Shiki no Yanagi" (Yanagi in Four Seasons, composed in 1954) is a three-piece ensemble of koto, sangen and shakuhachi, "Sanpo Sanka (1953)" and "Tarachine no (1953)" are songs and koto but the score is not published, "Izumi (1954)" is a duet of koto and shakuhachi, and "Chukurokinuta (1953)," "London night rain (1953)" and "Change of the guards (1954)" are koto solo pieces, of which "London night rain" and "Change of the guards (1954)" were created when he went to Europe in 1953.
The final piece, "Nichiren (1953)," was composed in an unprecedented large scale with a solo tenor, chorus, and conducting in addition to a koto solo section, No. 1 koto (high tone), No. 2 koto (low tone), 17 stringed instrument, kokyu, shakuhachi, sho and percussion instruments, and it is a masterpiece that has few opportunities to be played due to its scale.
