Business Overview

Performance of "Nagauta and Shamisen Appreciation and Experience"

The major issues facing the Nagauta industry these days are (1) the decrease in the number of Nagauta lovers and the shrinking of the market, (2) the aging of professional musicians and the lack of successors, resulting in a crisis in the transmission of the art.

Due to the historical background, it is difficult for professional musicians to make a living. For this reason, while 'nagauta' was a double job (side job and side job), concerts were held as study groups in order to develop human resources who could become professional musicians. In addition, we decided to hold a workshop for the purpose of learning the method of the popularization activity to the general Nagauta lovers.

The Nagauta Concert is performed by members of Momokuri-kai. Participants were invited from the audience, and Momokurikai members served as instructors.
