Business Overview

Playwright and director Kamisato Yudai presides over a new theatrical performance of Nina Morinomiya's Honorable Travels by the Okazaki Art Theater. Nina Morinomiya, who continues her "journey of heartbreak," meets Momotani, an actor who wants to become famous, and soon a ghost intervenes who does not know whether she is alive or dead. All three parties are detached from themselves and others, and conversations that lack a sense of ownership lead to repeated misunderstandings. However, the story undergoes a radical transformation as it is eroded by the chauvinism that pervades the real world.
This work critiques the indifference to others and self, and modern society overflowing with words, and is positioned as an antithesis to the "coexistence with others" that Okazaki Art Theater has dealt with. Appearing are Kamimon Miki, Urata Kamome and Yano Masayuki. The aim was to create a high-intensity production in which the presence of the actors stands out by using a minimum of stage art, lighting, sound and simple production.
