Business Overview

This project was carried out for the purpose of exploring the boundary consciousness between natural environment and human. The organizer, Nakayama Yume, and the participant, Nishi Kitoku, participated in the project as artists-in-residence in Finland, the Netherlands, and Norway, and conducted research on the natural environment in each country. The environmental characteristics of each country were reflected in the production concept, and the results of three-dimensional space works were exhibited. In Finland, he created suspended works made of aluminum that sway with water droplets; in the Netherlands, he created installations and cyanotype works using the reflection of sunlight; and in Norway, he created temporal works made of only ice. Exhibits were held in mine tunnels, residence galleries and parks. During the exhibition, an opening party, artist talks and an open studio were held to provide opportunities for interaction with visitors. Based on the results of the research in each country, the draft was decided, and new works were produced and exhibited in three countries.
