Profile

[Hogaku Joshi Kagami]
Hogaku Joshi Kagami was established in 2018 as a group to create a stage together with female gidayu performers and traditional performing arts performers, mainly female performers from various fields. In the world of traditional Japanese music, there are not many opportunities to interact with players from other fields, and especially in the field of shamisen music, there are few opportunities for female players to perform on stage. Therefore, "Hogaku Joshi Kagami" will work to further develop and popularize traditional performing arts by creating stages together with female gidayu and performers from various fields, mainly female performers. Joshi Kagami does not mean that it is limited to women, and they are always taking on new challenges with people who have the same ambition.
