Business Overview

The purpose of this project is to cultivate art interpreters who play a role in connecting art, society, and individual experiences through dialogue with viewers, rather than providing one-sided explanations of works. The course consists of a combination of face-to-face lectures, online lectures, and practical training, and is designed to cultivate the viewpoints and practical skills necessary for viewers to consider art as their own.
The lecturers included Masato Nakamura, Reiichi Noguchi, Min Nishihara, Meruro Washita, Yukie Kamiya, Aki Ikeda, and Yumi Shishido, who gave lectures from various viewpoints, such as curation, diversity of viewers, and regional space creation. The participants practiced on the stage of actual exhibitions and urban spaces, and learned the possibility of viewing through dialogue.

Profile

Tokyo Biennale
The Tokyo Biennale is an organization that plans and manages the Tokyo Biennale, an international art festival held every two years in Tokyo. This art festival is characterized by artists and creators of various genres from all over the world who work together with local residents while deeply immersing themselves in urban spaces. The theme of this third event is "Would you like to take a walk with me?" and it explores the possibilities as a “walking art festival ” where visitors can walk through the town and encounter artworks.
