Creation Grant subsidizes a portion of the activity expenses of Tokyo-based arts organizations and other organizations in order to support various creative activities in Tokyo and their bearers.
Depending on the purpose of the activity and the funding period, we offer open calls for applications in four categories, and Category IV. [Long-term Grant] Overseas Film Festival Participation Activities support the improvement of the level of film post-production and participation in overseas film festivals for two or three years.

- Projects beginning on or after January 1, 2026 and ending by December 31, 2027 (two years)

- Organization headquartered in Tokyo
* The director or producer, etc. who plays a central role in the creation must reside in Tokyo.
* In the case of a group, it does not matter whether it is a corporation or not.

* Co-sponsored projects and affiliated projects with facilities managed and operated by Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture are not eligible for subsidies.
*Projects sponsored or co-sponsored by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government or Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture, or projects that have been provided with subsidies, support funds, subsidies, commission fees, etc. from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture, or projects that are scheduled to be paid, are not eligible for subsidies. However, you can apply for this grant for projects that are or plan to receive "Grant for Accessibility" subsidies implemented by Arts Council Tokyo.

◆ Number of applications (number of applications accepted): 21 (9)
There were 21 applications from groups and individuals. By activity stage, more than 80% of applications were made in the activity base formation stage and the activity expansion/development stage. By genre, 30% of applications were for documentaries and 50% for feature films. Among the films selected were those with original themes, those with clear post-production techniques, and those with specific plans for overseas film festivals, regardless of genre or length. On the other hand, projects with many uncertain factors or incomplete data were rejected.
