【 Held 】TOKYO FORWARD 2025 Cultural Program "TOKYO Wasshoi"

To kick off the Tokyo 2025 World Championships in Athletics, a performance event called “TOKYO Wasshoi ” will be held along Gyoko Street in front of Tokyo Station by festival groups and performing arts organizations from around Tokyo.

Performances that condense the highlights of various festivals popular in Tokyo, such as traditional festivals, festivals for regional promotion, and traditional performing arts, will be performed. There will also be booths and a universal space to experience Edo culture, creating a space where tourists, residents of Tokyo, and performers can enjoy themselves together, overcoming language and disability barriers.

Enjoy the uniqueness and diversity of Tokyo's festivals and the splendor of Edo culture.

"TOKYO WASHOI" Ambassador Taihei Hayashiya

He was a rakugoka.
Born in 1964 in Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture.
Graduated from Musashino Art University in 1987.

In addition to appearing in rakugo (comic storytelling) shows and lectures across the country, he has been active in a wide range of media, including television and radio.
Hayashiya Taihei, who participates in the Chichibu Night Festival every year, livens up Tokyo Wasshoi.
