Start Box: A New Space for Artists Seeking a Place to Create

The START Box is a project to support the ongoing activities of young artists by providing them with a place to create, exchange and present their works. Vacant stores in Tokyo public housing and public housing are used as ateliers and rented out at affordable rates.

Eligibility

(1) In need of a place for creative activities such as art and video
(2) Ability to comply with terms of use
(3) Patients must be aged 18 or older to approximately 40 years at the time of application.
(4) Residing or working in Tokyo or graduating from a school in Tokyo
(5) Active cooperation in community exchange events, etc.

START Box SASAHATAHATSU

A creative space that utilizes an empty store in Tokyo public housing along the water road (Tokyo Metropolitan Road 431 Tsunohazu Izumicho Line) in Shibuya Ward.
All rooms are private and easy to concentrate in. There is also an exchange space on the Sasazuka side.

START Box Odaiba

In collaboration with the Tokyo Metropolitan Housing Corporation, this creative space utilizes an empty store in a public housing in Odaiba.
You can freely use the large space, so you can create in groups or create large works.

If you use it as a group, all the users must meet the application requirements.
In principle, up to 6 people including the applicant can be used at the same time in a group.
