Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture Arts Council Tokyo implements "Grant for Artistic City" as part of its cultural strategy to enhance the attractiveness of Tokyo's arts and culture. This grant targets innovative creative activities, festivals, and art projects with lasting and ripple effects in which multiple organizations and many artists participate in order to support more artists and staff. In addition, for the following two types of support costs, actual cost support (with an upper limit) will also be provided separately.
From a total of 125 projects that received applications during the first public offering period (Friday, March 28, 2025 to Thursday, May 15), a total of 30 projects (with a total grant decision of 309,483,004 yen) were selected through the screening committee. Of these, 3 digital development support grants and 7 creative environment support grants totaling 6,472,004 yen.
