The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture Arts Council Tokyo have been running the Tokyo Artist Accelerator Program (TAAP) since fiscal 2023 to support young artists in the art and video fields.
This time, we held an open call for supporting artists for the 2nd term, and from 92 applicants, 1.5 times more than the previous term, 12 supporting artists were selected through the first selection (documents) and the final selection (presentations).
TAAP is a growth-support program that focuses on helping artists verbalize their work and supports them both in terms of improving their storytelling skills and strengthening their concepts.
From now on, we will support our growth through an eight-month mentoring program with selection committee members and mentors, and we plan to hold a presentation stage to announce our results in the fall. For details, please visit the TAAP official website.
