Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture Arts Council Tokyo launched "Tokyo Live & Stage Support Grant" as part of its cultural strategy to enhance the attractiveness of Tokyo's arts and culture from FY2023. This grant subsidizes a portion of the expenses related to performances to support performing arts (theater, dance, dance, music, traditional performing arts, etc.) activities by small and medium-sized organizations that support the diversity of Tokyo's arts and culture.
From a total of 321 projects that were applied for during the first public offering period of FY2025 (May 2, 2025 ~ May 22, 2025), a total of 164 projects (total amount of grant decisions of 155,671 thousand yen) were selected after a review committee. This grant will end at the beginning of this year's recruitment. The second phase of the public offering is scheduled to start in early September, and the subsidy period is from December 20, 2025 ~ July 31, 2026.
