Accessibility Lecture 2025
A course to learn basic knowledge of accessibility and specific practical methods and devices in the field of art and culture.
In fiscal 2025, we will conduct in-depth courses focusing on accessibility in creative activities and courses on the theme of support for viewing. We will learn how to provide support for viewing and accessibility to meet the needs of diverse people while respecting the backgrounds and characteristics of each viewer.
Introduction: Understanding Accessibility (close-up)
From April 1, 2024, it became mandatory for businesses to provide reasonable accommodation to persons with disabilities. Students will learn more about what businesses and producers can do to create diverse viewing experiences suitable for each individual, from basic knowledge of what reasonable consideration means to specific examples.

Accessibility in Creative Activities (Part 1) (Regular Lecture)
This two-part course explores the necessity and potential of accessibility in art and culture from the perspective of participation in creative activities. In the first part, a lecturer who studies accessibility of creative environments will introduce important viewpoints when considering accessibility, and introduce guidelines on art and culture in other countries.

Accessibility in Creative Activities (Part II) (Regular Lecture)
Members of the "arts accessibility lab," a working group that considers accessibility in the performing arts, will be invited to participate, and based on their experiences of creation and appreciation, they will learn what is necessary to implement accessibility in actual creative activities. We will deepen the practical perspectives necessary to collaborate with people of diverse bodies and cultures.

The Possibility of Accessibility in Art and Culture (Follow-up Lecture)
2024年度のアクセシビリティ講座では映画館、舞台芸術、ミュージアムやアートスペースに焦点を当てながらアクセシビリティや鑑賞サポートについて考えてきました。本講座のベースとなるアーカイブ動画はトークイベントの回で、様々な実践者や鑑賞者であるゲストを招き、芸術文化におけるアクセシビリティの本質や、あらゆる人々が等しく芸術文化に触れられるための実践や工夫、これからの展望について、話題提供と対談を行いました。本講座ではトークイベントの登壇者だった塩瀬隆之さんと山田小百合さんに講座を振り返りながら最近のアクセシビリティの取組についても語っていただきます。
