Accounting and Tax Seminar 2025

A course on basic knowledge of accounting and taxation for sustainable activities.
In fiscal 2025, we will offer a course on the theme of "incorporation," which is a concern when considering sustainable activities, and an opportunity to revisit the basic skills and know-how related to freelance activities and the concept of withholding tax.

Freelance (Part I) (Follow-up Lecture)

In fiscal 2024, we provided freelancers and sole proprietors engaged in artistic and cultural activities with basic knowledge about procedures for becoming independent, tax returns, and withholding tax.
In this course, we welcome Professor Shigetaka Izawa as a lecturer, and he will explain the basic knowledge of accounting and taxation from the viewpoint of what you should do first when you become independent.

Freelance (Part II) (Follow-up Lecture)

In fiscal 2024, accounting and tax courses provided freelancers and sole proprietors engaged in artistic and cultural activities with basic knowledge about procedures for becoming independent, tax returns, and withholding tax.
In this course, you will deepen your knowledge of tax returns and business management know-how by listening to the instructor, Mr. Shigeki Izawa, explain the specific procedures from grasping and managing your daily income and expenses to preparing a tax return, and how to check the status of your income and expenses, grasp the status of your business, and make an activity plan.

Advantages and disadvantages of incorporation (regular course)

As you continue your artistic and cultural activities, have you ever wondered whether you should incorporate or continue your activities as an individual? This course explains the advantages and disadvantages of incorporation in terms of accounting and taxation, the appropriate timing of incorporation, how to choose a corporate form, and various administrative matters. In addition, they will learn useful knowledge for building a foundation for sustainable activities by touching on the practical work of suspending or dissolving a corporation.

Withholding Part (Follow-up Lecture)

For freelancers and sole proprietors who continue to engage in artistic and cultural activities, we will learn basic knowledge about the system and practice of withholding tax. In the course for fiscal 2024, we introduced the withholding income tax system when issuing an invoice as a freelancer or when paying a fee to a freelancer as an orderer, the relationship between the withholding income tax and tax return, points to be noted by the orderer and the orderer, and measures to prepare for potential problems.
In this lecture, Professor Eri Matsuda will give an easy-to-understand explanation of withholding tax, which is often considered difficult.
