Start Box We will open the atelier of a young artist working at Sasahata Hatsu.
This is a rare opportunity to interact with artists who create paintings and media art.
Admission is free, and advance reservations are not required, so please feel free to drop by.

Workshop

"Let the bag bear! ~ Tote bag coloring workshop ~"
Color the fruit illustration on the tote bag to create a one-of-a-kind original bag. You can take the finished product home. It is an art experience that can be enjoyed by a wide range of people, from adults to children, and can be easily participated in.

Sasazuka

Saku MORIKAWA

Born in Tokyo in 2001. Graduated from the Department of Graphic Design, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tama Art University in 2025. Major exhibitions include "Room I" (Shimokitazawa Arts, Tokyo, 2024), "Blue Period x ArtSticker vol.1" (Art or Rice Vermicelli or Shirochu, Tokyo, 2024), "grid3" (biscuit gallery, Tokyo, 2024), and "MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL 2023" (B&C HALL, Tokyo, 2023). Awards include being selected for the 41st Ueno Royal Museum Grand Prize Exhibition (2023), the Excellence Award at the ACT Art Award Exhibition 2023 (2023), and being selected for FACE2023 (2023).

Noriyasu SODA

Born in Nagasaki Prefecture in 1984. His major works include "Au 79 – Scheiße & Gold" (BOAbasedonart, Düsseldorf Germany, 2023), "OUT OF SILENCE" (CONCEPT SPACE, Gunma, 2021), and "BILD für
BILD” (ANMO ART, Düsseldorf Germany, 2018), “Vuoto occidentale/orientale” (galleria gentili, Firenze Italy, 2017), etc.

Im Jae-young

Born in Seoul in 1995. After graduating from the Western Art Department of Ewha Women's University, she completed a master's degree at the same graduate school. He is currently a Western-style painter based in Tokyo. Held a solo exhibition, “Harmony in Discord ” (2023) at Gallery COSO, and participated in exhibitions both in Japan and overseas, including“ Asia Now ” (Paris, 2023). Starting from mythological motifs, he explores human desires and unconsciousness, and presents oil paintings using the formative technique of "concealment and de-concealment."

Hatagaya

Fumi KATO

Born in Tokyo in 1985. Graduated from the Meisterschuler program of the Leipzig University of Fine Arts. He produces and presents mainly video works inspired by spaces and stories shared by multiple people. In 2024, he moved his base from Germany to Japan. His major exhibitions include "SEILAKT III–VI. On a Razor's Edge"(Museum of Fine Arts Leipzig, Leipzig, 2020), (Stellwerk Gallery, Kassel, 2022), and (Haus Kunst Mitte, Berlin, 2025).

Takayuki NAKAMURA

Born in Tokyo in 1986. Graduated from the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Tokyo Denki University. While working as a systems engineer and programmer based in Tokyo, he creates computer music and audiovisual works with programming and posts his works on Instagram. He has been a Kinomural 2025 finalist and selected for the International Computer Music Conference (ICMC, 2012).

Misato NONAKA (Misato NONAKA)

In 2020, he completed the Oil Painting Course at the Graduate School of Art and Design, Musashino Art University. His major awards include the Jun Shindo Jury Prize at Shell Art Prize Exhibition 2017, the Grand Prix at Monthly Art Newcomer Award Debut (2019), the Avex Prize at ARTISTE NEW GATE (2021), the Excellence Award at the 25 SELYANSHA Florence Prize Exhibition (2023), and the Art Olympia 2024 Prize (2024). His main solo exhibition is' Bundling Nerine '(Art Gallery, Shinjuku Takashimaya, 2023).
