Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture Arts Council Tokyo supports creative activities to improve the attractiveness of Tokyo's arts and culture and disseminate them to the world, promote local culture and traditional performing arts, and engage in artistic activities that address various social and urban issues.
We have decided on the target projects for the second Creation Grant of fiscal 2024.
Category I single year grant We received 236 applications and selected 55 (23.3% acceptance rate). The total amount of the subsidy is 80,257,000 yen. Of these, 6 projects are scheduled for creative environment support costs totaling 409000 yen.
Category II long-term grants We received 48 applications, and 3 were approved (6.3% approval rate). Of these, we received 12 applications for the "Post-Production of films for overseas film festivals" which we started supporting this fiscal year, and 3 were selected. The total amount of the subsidy is 7,702,000 yen.
Category III Projects Contributing to the Improvement of the Environment for Creative Arts (Long-term Subsidy) (Single-Year Subsidy) We received 23 applications (6 long-term grants, 17 single-year grants) and selected 4 (Long-term grants: 2, single year grants: 2) (17.4% acceptance rate). The total amount of the grant is 5,078,000 yen (Long-term subsidy: 3,132,000 yen, Single-year subsidy: 1,946,000 yen). The total amount of support for creative environments for 1 project is 99000 yen.
