Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture Arts Council Tokyo implements "Grant for Artistic City" as part of its cultural strategy to enhance the attractiveness of Tokyo's arts and culture. This grant targets innovative creative activities, festivals, and art projects with lasting and ripple effects in which multiple organizations and many artists participate in order to support more artists and staff. In addition, we will also provide actual cost support (with an upper limit) for the following two types of support expenses.
From a total of 115 projects that received applications during the public offering period (Monday, August 19, 2024 to Tuesday, September 24) for the 2nd fiscal year, a total of 23 projects (with a total grant amount of 222,129,000 yen) were selected through the screening committee. Of these, 3 grants were for digital development support and 6 grants were for creative environment support (total 10,198,000 yen).
