In fiscal 2023, the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture Arts Council Tokyo launched the Tokyo Live Stage Support Subsidy program as part of its cultural strategy aimed at enhancing the appeal of Tokyo's arts and culture. This subsidy is intended to support performing arts (Theater, dance, music, traditional arts, etc.) activities by small and medium-sized organizations that support the diversity of art and culture in Tokyo.
From a total of 263 projects that received applications during the public offering period (Wednesday, April 17, 2024 to Thursday, May 9) in FY 2024, a total of 154 projects (with a total grant amount of 145,909,000 yen) were selected through the screening committee.
