Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture Arts Council Tokyo implements "Grant for Artistic City" as part of its cultural strategy to enhance the attractiveness of Tokyo's arts and culture. This grant targets innovative creative activities, festivals, and art projects with lasting and ripple effects in which multiple organizations and many artists participate in order to support more artists and staff. In addition, we will also provide actual cost support (with an upper limit) for the following two types of support expenses.
From a total of 141 projects that received applications during the period from Thursday, March 28, 2024 to Wednesday, May 15 of the first public offering period, a total of 33 projects (with a total grant decision of 301,663,000 yen) were selected through the screening committee. Of these, 4 grants were for digital development support and 4 grants were for creative environment support (total 9,539,000 yen).
