The Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture Arts Council Tokyo supports creative activities that enhance the attractiveness of Tokyo's arts and culture and disseminate them to the world, the promotion of local culture and traditional performing arts, and artistic activities that address various social and urban issues.
We are pleased to announce that we have selected projects for the FY 2024 1st Tokyo Arts and Culture Promotion Subsidy.
Category I single year grant We received 369 applications and selected 70 (19.0% acceptance rate). The total amount of the subsidy is 96,822,000 yen. Of these, 13 projects are scheduled for creative environment support costs totaling 1,164,000 yen.
Category II long-term grants We received 39 applications and selected 5 (12.8% acceptance rate). Of these, we received 15 applications for the "Post-Production of films for overseas film festivals" which we started supporting this fiscal year, and 2 were selected. The total amount of the subsidy is 14,762,000 yen. The total amount of support for creative environments for 3 projects is 222000 yen.
Category III Projects Contributing to the Improvement of the Environment for Creative Arts (Long-term Subsidy) (Single-Year Subsidy) We received 29 applications (12 long-term grants, 17 annual grants) and adopted 9 (4 long-term grants, 5 single-year grants) (31.0% adoption rate). The total amount of the grant is 11,703,000 yen (Long-term subsidy: 7,525,000 yen, Single-year subsidy: 4,178,000 yen). The total amount of support for creative environments for 1 project is 100,000 yen.
