The Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture Arts Council Tokyo supports creative activities that enhance the attractiveness of Tokyo's arts and culture and disseminate them to the world, the promotion of local culture and traditional performing arts, and artistic activities that address various social and urban issues.
It has been decided that the projects eligible for the Tokyo Arts and Culture Creation Promotion Subsidy for FY 2023 (FY 2) will be selected. Starting this fiscal year, in addition to the existing subsidy, this subsidy program will provide actual support for "viewing support expenses" and "creative environment support expenses."
We received 160 applications for the Category I Single Year Grant (Phase 2) and selected 49 of them (30.6% acceptance rate). The total amount of the subsidy is 74,692,000 yen. Of these, 5 are for "viewing support" and 6 are for "creative environment support," totaling 1,057,000 yen.
We received 15 applications for Category III Projects Contributing to the Improvement of the Art Creative Environment (Single Year Grant Period 2), and 3 were selected (20.0% of applications). The total amount of the subsidy is 2.47 million yen.
