Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture Arts Council Tokyo supports creative activities to improve the appeal of Tokyo's arts and culture and disseminate them to the world, promote local culture and traditional performing arts, and support artistic activities that address various social and urban issues.
We have decided on the target projects for the second Creation Grant of FY Reiwa 5 (2023). In this grant program, in addition to the existing grants, we have started supporting the actual expenses of "appreciation support expenses" and "creative environment support expenses" from this fiscal year.
We received 160 applications for the Category I Single Year Grant (Phase 2) and selected 49 of them (30.6% acceptance rate). The total amount of the subsidy is 74,692,000 yen. Of these, 5 are for "viewing support" and 6 are for "creative environment support," totaling 1,057,000 yen.
We received 15 applications for Category III Projects Contributing to the Improvement of the Art Creative Environment (Single Year Grant Period 2), and 3 were selected (20.0% of applications). The total amount of the subsidy is 2.47 million yen.
