As part of our cultural strategy to improve the attractiveness of Tokyo's arts and culture, Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture Arts Council Tokyo has launched "Tokyo Live & Stage Support Grant" this year. This grant supports performing arts (theater, dance, dance, music, traditional performing arts, etc.) activities by small and medium-sized organizations that are recovering from the coronavirus pandemic in order to restore a vibrant arts, culture, and entertainment environment in Tokyo.
From a total of 256 projects that received applications during the public offering period of Phase 2 (Friday, September 15 to Wednesday, October 11, 2023), a total of 128 projects (with a total grant amount of 122,608,000 yen) were selected through the Review Board.
