Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture Arts Council Tokyo implements "Grant for Artistic City" as part of its cultural strategy to enhance the attractiveness of Tokyo's arts and culture. This grant targets innovative creative activities, festivals, and art projects with lasting and ripple effects in which multiple organizations and many artists participate in order to support more artists and staff. In addition, we will also provide actual cost support (with a maximum amount) for the following three types of support costs.
From a total of 151 projects that received applications during the public offering period (Friday, August 25 to Friday, September 29, 2023) of Phase 2, a total of 28 projects (with a total grant decision of 194,878,000 yen) were selected through the Review Board. Of these, 13 were granted viewing support, 3 were granted digital development support, and 6 were granted creative environment support (total 22,523,000 yen).
