As part of its cultural strategy aimed at improving the attractiveness of Tokyo's arts and culture, the Arts Council Tokyo is implementing a program to support the creation of attractive arts and culture. In order to support more artists and staff, this grant is intended for innovative creative activities, festivals, and art projects that have sustained and ripple power and involve multiple organizations and many artists. In addition, actual support (with upper limit) will be provided for the following three types of support expenses.
From a total of 163 projects that received applications during the period from Friday, March 24, 2023 to Monday, May 15 of the first public offering period, a total of 42 projects (with a total grant decision of 351.35 million yen) were selected through the screening committee. Of these, 16 were granted viewing support, 3 were granted digital development support, and 4 were granted creative environment support (total 23,715,000 yen).
