Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture Arts Council Tokyo implements "Grant for Artistic City" as part of its cultural strategy to enhance the attractiveness of Tokyo's arts and culture. This grant targets innovative creative activities, festivals, and art projects with lasting and ripple effects in which multiple organizations and many artists participate in order to support more artists and staff. In addition, we will also provide actual cost support (with a maximum amount) for the following three types of support costs.
From a total of 163 projects that received applications during the period from Friday, March 24, 2023 to Monday, May 15 of the first public offering period, a total of 42 projects (with a total grant decision of 351.35 million yen) were selected through the screening committee. Of these, 16 were granted viewing support, 3 were granted digital development support, and 4 were granted creative environment support (total 23,715,000 yen).
