Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture Arts Council Tokyo implements "Grant for Artistic City" as part of its cultural strategy to enhance the attractiveness of Tokyo's arts and culture. This grant targets innovative creative activities, festivals, and art projects with lasting and ripple effects in which multiple organizations and many artists participate in order to support more artists and staff. In addition, as a separate support fee, we will also provide actual cost support (with a maximum amount) for expenses to improve accessibility so that diverse people can experience and enjoy art and culture, and digital development expenses to pursue new ideas and expressions that integrate technology.
This time, from a total of 79 projects that were applied for during the second public offering period (August 25, 2022 (Thursday) ~ September 30, 2022 (Reiwa 4)), a total of 27 projects (total grant decision of 172,863 thousand yen) were selected after a review meeting. Of these, 7 were granted for accessibility support and 2 for digital development support (15,090,000 yen).
