The Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture Arts Council Tokyo supports creative activities that enhance the attractiveness of Tokyo's arts and culture and disseminate them to the world, as well as arts activities that promote local culture and address various social and urban issues.
We have determined the projects eligible for the "Social Support through Arts and Culture Subsidy" in FY 2021 (FY 2).
Starting this fiscal year, the maximum amount of grants granted will be increased to 2 million yen per 1 project. In addition, in order to proactively support activities that steadily contribute to resolving issues from a long-term perspective, we have established a policy of setting a plan for a maximum of 3 years, including this application project, and giving priority to projects that can be expected to produce results for a maximum of 3 years.
In this fiscal year, a total of 6 applications were accepted out of 22 applications (27.3% acceptance rate). Two of these projects were selected as priority projects for up to three years. The total amount of the grant is 8,924,000 yen.
