The Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture Arts Council Tokyo supports creative activities that enhance the attractiveness of Tokyo's arts and culture and disseminate them to the world, as well as arts activities that promote local culture and address various social and urban issues.
We have determined the projects eligible for the FY 2021 FY 1 Tokyo Arts and Culture Promotion Subsidy.
Starting this fiscal year, the Tokyo Arts and Culture Promotion Subsidy is open to the public in three categories according to the purpose of the activity and the duration of the subsidy.
We received 204 applications for Category I Single Year Grants (Period 1) and selected 75 of them (36.8% acceptance rate). The total amount of the subsidy is 74,997,000 yen.
We received 23 applications for Category II long-term grants, and 3 were selected (13% acceptance rate). The total amount of the subsidy is 21,575,000 yen.
We received 18 applications (10 long-term grants and 8 single-year grants) for Category III Projects that Contribute to the Improvement of the Creative Environment for the Arts [Long-term Subsidy] [Single Year Subsidy Phase 1], of which 4 were selected (1 long-term grant, 3 single-year grants) (22.2% acceptance rate). The total amount of the grant is 6.75 million yen (Long-term subsidy: 4.8 million yen, Single-year subsidy: 1.95 million yen).
