The Arts Council Tokyo supports creative activities that enhance the attractiveness of Tokyo's arts and culture and convey it to the world, as well as arts activities that promote local culture and address various social and urban issues.
The Tokyo Arts and Culture Promotion Subsidy (FY FY 1) and the Arts and Culture Social Support Subsidy (FY 2020 FY 1) have been selected.
This fiscal year, 192 applications were received for the Tokyo Arts and Culture Creation and Dissemination Grant, and 27 applications were received for the Arts and Culture Social Support Grant. As a result of strict screening by the Arts Council Tokyo, 70 grants and 10 social support grants were selected (36.4% of annual grants accepted, 37% of social assistance grants). A total of 67.59 million yen is planned for a single year, and a total of 6,532,000 yen is planned for social support.
