Young Asian filmmakers and producers will be invited to Tokyo for the event with the aim of fostering "Talent (=Talents, Talents)" who have the potential to become the next generation of masters, in order to strengthen the creation and transmission of culture from Tokyo in the field of film. By inviting professionals currently active in the world as experts and exposing them to the eyes of front-line talent through lectures and planning panels, the project aims to encourage talent to experience intense inspiration and to build a new international network through interaction between talent, experts and talent, and filmmakers who gather at the Tokyo Filmex Film Festival.

Outline of implementation
- program
A maximum of 17 selected participants (hereinafter referred to as Talents) will take all of the following programs.
A. Viewing films and participating in a Q&A session at the 26th Tokyo Filmex
(b) Attending lectures/master classes (special classes) and other lectures by experts
C. Planning Review Committee
Each talent will present a project they would like to turn into a film. The project will then be discussed with the main experts (four members including the director, producer, international sales representative, and Berlinale Talents manager), and the best projects will be selected and awarded by a judging committee made up of the main experts. - Report Submission
Talents must submit a report within 3 weeks of completing Talents Tokyo 2025.
By submitting this report, you are considered to have completed Talents Tokyo 2025. Diplomas will be sent to those who have completed the program in early February 2026. - Expenses (planned)
Only Talents themselves shall be invited to the project.
a. For participants from countries other than Japan, the Organizer will bear the following expenses:
(a) Accommodation (8 nights) * Limited to "stay" mentioned in the next section
(b) Daily allowance
(c) Round-trip ticket between Tokyo and an international airport in a major city of the Participant's country of residence (economy class)
(b) The Organizer will bear the following expenses for participants from Japan.
(a) Accommodation (8 nights) * Limited to "stay" mentioned in the next section
(b) Daily allowance
(c) Round-trip travel expenses between the place of residence and Tokyo - Stay (planned)
Stay in Tokyo is limited to facilities designated by the organizer. - Printed materials or data
Organizers prepare and distribute printed materials (or data) containing the background of the participants (talents) and the proposals submitted by the participants.
Eligibility
A person who meets all of the following conditions
- (1) Persons of East Asia or Southeast Asia (regardless of the country of current residence), or (2) Nationalities other than (1) above, who reside in East Asia or Southeast Asian countries at the time of application and during the Talents Tokyo Period, and have not participated in Talents Tokyo in the past, understand the application terms and conditions (English version) mentioned in the next paragraph, and fill in the application materials in English. - Those who can understand all programs in English and are willing to participate in programs conducted in English.
- A person who can participate in all programs held in Tokyo during the conference and stay at an accommodation designated by the organizer.
- Aiming to become a professional film director or film producer and meeting any of the following requirements
(a) Aspiring director: A person who has directed at least one short film and has directed less than three feature films
(b) Aspiring producer: A person who has produced at least one short film in the past.

Public Relations
By submitting the application materials, the Applicant agrees that the Organizer will use the application materials for various media for publicity purposes and as publicity materials for the project.
If selected as a participant as a result of the selection, the participant agrees to publish the submitted work on the Talents Tokyo website and to use photos such as class scenes taken by the organizer during the period as promotional materials for the project.
In addition, the participant is deemed to agree to include the address, telephone number, etc. to which the project is to be contacted in the aforementioned printed materials.
Handling of Personal Information
Applicants' personal information will be managed appropriately in compliance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other related laws and regulations, and will be used only to the extent necessary for the implementation of Talents Tokyo.

Talents will be selected by a selection committee organized by the organizers between June and August 2025, and the results will be promptly notified to applicants.
