Arts Council Tokyo (Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture) is pleased to announce the finalized line-up of programs for FY2026.
2026 Key Initiatives
■Projects Providing Cultural Experiences for Children
We launched the Tokyo Children’s Arts and Culture Platform "TOKYO Culture Debut" in June 2025 to provide
cultural experiences to as many children as possible. Under this platform, the Foundation coordinates program
development, public relations and human resource development in cooperation with various organizations and
businesses in Tokyo to enable children to create their own works, perform on stage, and enjoy high-quality
experiences in a variety of fields, including fine arts, music, theater and traditional performing arts. With a focus on
this key initiative, we will strengthen organization-wide efforts through Art Council Tokyo’s experiential children’s
programs, including the “Next Creation Program” launched in FY2024, and other programs at various Tokyo
Metropolitan cultural facilities.
■Strengthening Talent Development to Support Arts Activities
In addition to supporting artists’ creative activities, we are also committed to cultivating future arts and culture leaders.
In FY2025, we launched training programs for arts and culture accessibility coordinators and the coordinator
“Kototetote” Training Program for Child-oriented Arts and Culture Experiences. In FY2026, we plan to launch the Talent
Development Program for Bridging Arts and Business (tentative name).
