[Call for Participation] Next Creation Program Kids Youth Open Campus Tokyo University of the Arts (Ueno Campus)

With the aim of further deepening each child's understanding and experience of the arts and culture fields according to their own interests and interests, this is a program in which university professors and others serve as instructors, allowing children to experience the joy of making, expressing, and thinking through making and live music in multiple genres of the arts.

Program

1.Painting 'Self-Portrait' - Following the Art University Oil Painting Tradition

Following the tradition of the graduation project for the oil painting (Western painting) major, we will draw a "self-portrait." Through production and viewing, let's think a little deeper than usual about "Society in which we live today" and the true self.

2.a metal accessory made from metal

We make metal molds using squid, which we recognize as food, and paper, which is a material that we touch daily, and create accessories and accessories using a casting technique.

3.Make your own big flower!

Together with students of the University of the Arts, they cut large pieces of colored paper into the shape of flower petals, draw pictures, decorate them, and assemble them to make flowers as large as their own height. After completion, let's have a viewing party with each person holding a big flower.

4.Play with the University of Tokyo "Sax Kaitai Shinsho"

The saxophone is often heard through brass bands, jazz and pop music. The faculty, students, and alumni of the School of Music, Division of Tube Percussion, Department of Saxophone, will tell you the full appeal of the instrument.

5.Play the Japanese Shakuhachi

Students will learn about the history of the shakuhachi and the structure of the instrument along with performances by University of the Arts faculty. In addition, you can enjoy Japanese music by actually playing musical instruments.

6.Local Art Activities Fieldwork

The day after tomorrow morning glories are being distributed nationwide, and the seeds are being passed on to the University of the Arts and the residents of the Ueno area. We will collect information about the community through Asagao and make a newspaper the day after tomorrow.
