Currently, vocaloid synthesizers such as Hatsune Miku are attracting attention.
The emergence of an unprecedented creative space in which creators participate en masse via the Internet in the production of anime-style character songs and dance videos. Through the Hatsune Miku platform, a creative community transcends the distinction between professionals and amateurs. The "vocaloid phenomenon," in which a large number of videos are released by volunteers, and works derived from these videos proliferate, can be said to be a modern form of creation.
In this open seminar, Masahiro Hamasaki of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology in Tsukuba City will explain the source of the power of the expanding vocaloid phenomenon and the structure of connections between creators.
