Support Program – Arts Council Tokyo

We will provide multifaceted support for the continuation and development of arts and culture activities, such as providing comprehensive support information through consultation desks and lecture programs, and providing production spaces, creation, and presentation opportunities.

Start Box, a creative environment for artists

By providing a creative environment at a reasonable price for young artists who have difficulty finding a studio, we support their continuous creative activities. In addition, open ateliers and exhibitions of works by artists using the facilities are held at cultural events to promote interaction between artists using the facilities and local residents. Artists seeking an environment in which to create their work can rent creative spaces at affordable rates. I hope that new creative activities will start from this space.

Tokyo Artist Accelerator Program（TAAP）

This program supports young artists in the art and video fields who wish to be active in the art market. Focusing on the presentation of the work by the artist himself, it supports from both sides of improving the ability to talk about the work and strengthening the concept. In addition to providing highly flexible production support funds to selected supporting artists, the project provides ongoing mentoring with a diverse range of contemporary art specialists and creates opportunities to present to contemporary art professionals in Japan and overseas, thereby supporting the international advancement of young artists originating in Tokyo.

Talents Tokyo

In cooperation with the Berlin International Film Festival, we aim to foster "Talent (=Talents, Talents)" who have the potential to become the next generation of masters, in order to strengthen the creation and transmission of culture from Tokyo in the field of film, and provide them with the opportunity to build know-how and an international network to be active in the world.

Overseas Dispatch Program for Art Management Personnel

Short-term dispatch of promising young art managers to cutting-edge festivals, cultural facilities, and platforms where people involved in arts and culture gather overseas. By creating opportunities to build networks with overseas directors and producers, we aim to expand the future activities of Tokyo's artistic and cultural leaders.

Tokyo Arts and Culture Consultation Support Center "Art Note"

It is a platform that supports the sustainable activities of artists and the bearers of all kinds of arts and culture in Tokyo and leads to new activities. We provide comprehensive support through three functions: a "Consultation Desk" that responds to concerns and difficulties while collaborating with experts, "Information Provision" that provides useful information for activities, and "School" that provides knowledge and skills necessary for activities.
