Creative Wellbeing Tokyo

Through metropolitan cultural facilities and cultural projects, we aim to create an environment where everyone can access and enjoy art and culture. In addition to improving the environment for various people, including the elderly, people with disabilities, infants and children, and people with overseas roots, to participate in cultural projects and create together, we will work on verification of programs, development of models, and on-site practice and surveys. In cooperation with metropolitan cultural institutions, cultural projects, and NPOs involved in local social issues, we will promote and disseminate activities necessary for the arts and culture of the future.

Creative Wellbeing Tokyo

In addition to developing initiatives to improve the advanced quality of information security tools and support for cultural facilities and cultural projects, we will conduct research, verification, and development related to accessibility as a "Partner Program." In addition, Japan will hold domestic conferences where everyone can connect through culture in order to disseminate the knowledge gained at international conferences and advanced initiatives both domestically and internationally, as well as disseminate efforts to realize a symbiotic society through arts and culture.

TURN LAND program

A program in which welfare facilities and social support organizations plan and practice art projects together with artists. Through the implementation of the project, we have developed two programs, "TURN LAND" and "Pre-LAND," to deepen understanding of diverse values and characteristics and create more attractive activities in daily life. The implementation process is accompanied by a coordinator who supports the operation according to the situation on the ground. We aim to build a new relationship with the local community and share the awareness of the project both internally and externally.

Improving accessibility to arts and culture

We will work to improve the accessibility of Tokyo's cultural facilities and cultural projects developed by the Arts Council Tokyo to create an environment that makes it easy for anyone to access arts and culture. We will promote the provision of information and the improvement of services for visitors to cultural facilities and cultural projects, the promotion of initiatives to enrich the experience of viewing and participating in performances, exhibitions, and programs, and the development of an environment for the participation of various people, including persons with disabilities, in planning and management. We will also provide training and subsidies for those who are responsible for arts and culture.
In addition, we will carry out a campaign to build momentum for "improving accessibility to art and culture," mainly in autumn when the World Athletics and Deaflympics are held, and we will widely disseminate information about exhibitions and performances with viewing support in Tokyo.
