Creative Well-being Tokyo

This project is aimed at building an environment where everyone can access and enjoy arts and culture through metropolitan cultural facilities and cultural projects. As well as expanding and improving the environment allowing diverse people including the elderly, people with disabilities, infants, and people with roots overseas to participate in cultural projects and create together, we will work on program validation, program model development, and onsite practice and research. In partnership with metropolitan cultural facilities, cultural projects, NPOs (engaging with social issues in the community), etc., we will promote and disseminate the initiatives needed for arts and culture going forward.

Creative Well-being Tokyo

In addition to developing initiatives to improve the advanced quality of information security tools and support for cultural facilities and cultural projects, we will conduct research, verification, and development related to accessibility as a "Partner Program." In addition, Japan will hold domestic conferences where everyone can connect through culture in order to disseminate the knowledge gained at international conferences and advanced initiatives both domestically and internationally, as well as disseminate efforts to realize a symbiotic society through arts and culture.

TURN LAND program

A program in which welfare facilities and social support organizations plan and practice art projects together with artists. Through the implementation of the project, we have developed two programs, "TURN LAND" and "Pre-LAND," to deepen understanding of diverse values and characteristics and create more attractive activities in daily life. The implementation process is accompanied by a coordinator who supports the operation according to the situation on the ground. We aim to build a new relationship with the local community and share the awareness of the project both internally and externally.

Improving accessibility to arts and culture

We will work to improve accessibility at Tokyo Metropolitan Cultural Facilities and cultural projects developed in Arts Council Tokyo, and create an environment where everyone can easily access art and culture. We will provide information and improve services for visitors to and participate in cultural facilities and projects, promote initiatives to enrich the experience of viewing and participating in performances, exhibitions, and programs, and promote the development of an environment for diverse people with disabilities to participate in planning and management. We will also provide training and subsidies for those who are responsible for art and culture.
In addition, we will develop a campaign to build momentum for "improving accessibility to art and culture" mainly in the fall, when the World Athletics and Deaflympics will be held, and widely disseminate information on exhibitions and performances with appreciation support in Tokyo.
