Application Guidelines

Areas covered

Public performances and exhibitions in the following fields held in Tokyo are open to the general public and sponsored by the applicant organizations. It is possible to apply for multiple performances and exhibitions during the applicable period in one application.
Music, theater, dance, fine arts, photography, media arts (Video, movies, manga, anime, games, etc.), traditional performing arts, performing arts, lifestyle culture (Tea ceremony, flower arrangement, calligraphy, etc.), artistic activities that are not restricted to specific genres (complex), etc.

target organization

Any of the following apply:
(1) Arts organizations, private organizations, executive committees, theaters, halls, etc. located in Japan and sponsoring the project to be applied for and bearing the expenses required for the activity.
*The national or local government, or an organization in which the national or local government has invested in the basic fund or other equivalent is not eligible for the applicant. However, it is possible to be a member of the executive committee.
*In the case of a foundation, private company, etc., or designated manager that operates public cultural facilities in wards and municipalities in Tokyo, even if it is an organization in which the local government has invested in a basic fund or other equivalent fund, if it is the organizer or co-organizer of a project carried out by the public cultural facility it operates, or if it is an organization in which the local government has invested in the basic fund or other equivalent funds, you can apply.
(2) Organizations that have taken the Accessibility Course 2024 "Introduction to Appreciation Support" (video) conducted by Tokyo Support Center for the Arts and Culture ARTNOTO

Accessibility Course 2024
"Introduction to Viewing Support"

申請にあたっては、東京芸術文化相談サポートセンター「アートノト」のアクセシビリティ講座2024「鑑賞サポート入門」（※）を申請事業の制作担当（鑑賞サポート担当含む）の方に受講していただく必要があります。
（各30分程度、字幕、手話付）
1）基礎知識編
　鑑賞サポート推進の目的・意義、現場からの声「鑑賞サポートを推進する上で大切なこと」事例紹介
2）視覚障害者編
　鑑賞サポートの案内（予約から来場・鑑賞・終了まで）や、サポート・ツール等の紹介
3）聴覚障害者編
　鑑賞サポートの案内（予約から来場・鑑賞・終了まで）や、サポート・ツール、手話等の紹介
※特設ウェブサイト内の申請フォームページ、あるいは東京芸術文化相談サポートセンター「アートノト」公式YouTubeチャンネルをご覧ください。
※アクセシビリティ講座2024「鑑賞サポート入門」受講確認シートを必ず提出してください。

Period of implementation covered

Projects beginning on or after Wednesday, July 1, 2026 and ending by Wednesday, June 30, 2027

content of support

Support for the actual cost of appreciation support up to 1.5 million yen (10/10 subsidy rate)
* "Appreciation support" here means the creation of an environment that enriches the experience of appreciating performances and exhibitions organized by the applicant, as well as the experience of participating in events and programs. It is a support that makes it easier for anyone, regardless of disability or age, to participate in or apply for the appreciation of art and culture, and to appreciate works and performances.

acceptance of application

Reception will be accepted at any time after 14:00 on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
*This Grant Programs will end when the total amount of the grant decision reaches the upper limit of the budget.
*Please complete the application by the end of the month 4 months before the start of the project.
*Notwithstanding the above, for projects starting between July 1, 2026 and September 30, 2026, please complete the application by May 15, 2026 (Friday).
