In order to realize a society in which everyone can enjoy arts and culture, the Government will support efforts aimed at improving accessibility by private organizations implementing arts and culture projects. The aim is to increase the number of examples of support for viewers and participants who need support, to create opportunities for them to come into contact with art and culture, and to disseminate widely throughout society the need to improve accessibility to art and culture.
In fiscal 2025, with the World Athletics and Deaflympics to be held this autumn as an opportunity, we will expand our support programs, including the establishment of a new "2025 Momentum Building" program, in order to further promote viewing support. In addition, from this fiscal year, the requirements for an applicant organization to be located in Japan will be relaxed, and private organizations will be encouraged to support the viewing of exhibitions and performances held in Tokyo.
This subsidy will be provided in conjunction with support provided by the Tokyo Arts Consultation and Support Center "Art Noto" for taking courses and providing consultation services.
* "Appreciation support" here refers to the development of an environment that enriches the experience of viewing performances and exhibitions, as well as the experience of participating in events and programs. It is intended to make it easier for anyone to participate in or apply for the appreciation of art and culture, and to make it easier to appreciate works and performances.

Accepted as needed from Wednesday, April 30, 2025
* This subsidy will be closed when the total amount of the subsidy reaches the upper limit of the budget.
* Applications for the 1.5 million yen limit have been closed as the budget limit has been reached.

Application Guidelines
Tokyo Art and Culture Appreciation Support Grant
- target organization
- Arts groups, private organizations, executive committees, theaters, halls, etc., whose headquarters or headquarters are located in Japan
- Period of implementation covered
- Projects beginning on or after July 1, 2025 and ending by June 30, 2026
- content of support
- Support the actual cost of viewing support up to 1.5 million yen (10/10 subsidy rate)
- acceptance of application
- Accepted anytime after 14:00 on April 30, 2025.
However, the application will end when the total amount of applications reaches the upper limit of the budget.

Support Program for Tokyo Art and Culture Appreciation 2025
- target organization
- Artistic groups, private organizations, executive committees, theaters, halls, etc., whose headquarters or headquarters are located in Japan
In addition to the above, the following 2 requirements
(1) Implementation of projects with large ripple effects, such as the scale of audience attraction
(2) Campaign (*) Cooperation in public relations, etc.
* From September to December 2025, this project aims to improve accessibility in cooperation with cultural facilities in Tokyo, exhibitions, performances, etc., and to build momentum for further dissemination. Details will be announced around the end of May. - Period of implementation covered

- Accepted anytime after 14:00 on April 30, 2025.
Applications for the first panel must be completed by June 30, 2025.
However, applications will be accepted on a case-by-case basis until the total amount accepted reaches the budget limit.

"Introduction to Viewing Support" - 申請にあたっては、東京芸術文化相談サポートセンター「アートノト」のアクセシビリティ講座2024「鑑賞サポート入門」（※）を申請事業の制作担当（鑑賞サポート担当含む）の方に受講していただく必要があります。

鑑賞サポート推進の目的・意義、現場からの声「鑑賞サポートを推進する上で大切なこと」事例紹介
2）視覚障害者編
鑑賞サポートの案内（予約から来場・鑑賞・終了まで）や、サポート・ツール等の紹介
3）聴覚障害者編
鑑賞サポートの案内（予約から来場・鑑賞・終了まで）や、サポート・ツール、手話等の紹介
