Business Overview
Romance, an omnibus play depicting love between Deaf people, performed as part of the Actors and Performing Arts Deaf Development Project, which aims to develop Deaf theater by Deaf people. Comprised of three short stories, it presents a multifaceted depiction of love from the perspective of a deaf person. A space summit talks about alien love, a daily drama depicts the conflict between a deaf person and a hearing person, and the emotions that arise from reuniting with a childhood friend. Each of these forms of "love" is richly expressed through sign language. Directed by Ohashi Hiroe, Kasumi Yoko and Sunada Atom, with screenplay by Kawai Yumiko, Sato Joji and Nasu Eri. In addition to Yasuto Okumura, Tomoki Kitazono, Hidetada Tashiro, Shohei Hasegawa, Ho Morioka and Rinrin from the first and second classes of the Def Actors Course, Shizue Sazawa, Kana Muraoka and Osamu Yoshioka performed together.
