Business Overview

The choreographer and dancer Kenta Kujirai started a new series called "Buto Keikaku: To Hamisei no Hikari" (To the Light of Hamisei) in which the first production, "Ubusuna Ibun" was performed at the Nakano Terpsichor in Tokyo after stops in London (world premiere), Rome, and Sendai. In the background of this film is the body, different world, and folk culture of the Tohoku region, which has deviated from the history of Daimonji and has been obscured. Memories of the silence of subjugated and discriminated physical cultures and indigenous beliefs and practices deposited behind stories of nations, institutions and development. By unearthing them and illuminating them through the lens of BUTOH, the process of “lost things ” gaining a voice and being reorganized into the future is depicted.
