Impression is written as Inzo. Established in 2003 by playwright and director Atsuto Suzuki. Based on the belief that "play transcends national borders," he creates plays that can be enjoyed beyond the barriers of language and culture, and aims to transmit performing arts that drastically change the impression of everyday life and scenery that the audience sees when they leave the theater. His major works are Erich Koestner, Tsuguharu Fujita, George Orwell, and Karel Capek, all of which are part of a four-part series called The Nation and the Artist.
