Business Overview
This is the second year of the two-year plan. Building on the international exchange exhibition held in Ghent, Belgium in the first year, the exhibition was held in Nakano Ward, Tokyo. This exhibition, in cooperation with Kunsthaus Yellow Art, introduced creative works by artists from diverse backgrounds in Japan and Belgium under the theme of ikigai (meaning to live), which is a major driving force in human life. In addition, international exchange events were held where artists from both countries exchanged information on their creative activities and cultures, creating opportunities to meet diverse expressions that transcend national borders. This project expanded the opportunities for artists with disabilities to present their creative activities and connect with society, and became a place for interaction among diverse people. In addition, the project, which incorporated a multicultural perspective in Tokyo, where people from various backgrounds live, provided a valuable opportunity for artists, viewers, and event participants to respect each other's nationalities and cultural diversity, and to foster mutual understanding and empathy.
