Profile

[Duo NéMeu]
Formed in 2021 by Miho Kiyokawa (saxophone) and Nanami Okuda (piano), both of whom were DAI students at the Conservatoire National Supérieure de Paris. In 2022, he passed the master's course in chamber music at the Kyoto University of Music and graduated in 2024. He has held concerts of classical and contemporary music and improvisation at museums, conservatories and music festivals in Paris and abroad. Both are enrolled in the Artist Diploma, which was newly established in 2022 at the Third Course of the Conservatoire Supérieure de Paris. The Ensemble Next, which was formed during the course, premiered a number of new works and performed together with groups such as Ensemble Antecontamporan and Ensemble Coursilcuy. As an independent project of the duo in Japan, in 2023 they were commissioned to perform 3 works for tenor saxophone and piano with the theme of "new music with high repeatability," and in 2024 they were commissioned to perform 3 works for new tenor saxophone and piano with internal playing with the theme of "uniqueness."
