Profile

[4 Brothers]
4BROTHERS is a music group newly formed by four classmates who entered the saxophone department of Tokyo University of the Arts in 2016.
The inspiration for the group came from the experience of playing together at the school's regular concert, which is held independently by the students once a year. For us, the differences in the personalities of the four were very interesting and exciting, but we also respected and sympathized with their attitudes toward music. After studying their respective careers, they reconvened when two members returned to Japan and formed the group in 2023 to work as one.
When it comes to four saxophonists, it is common to have a quartet, but the aim is not to be bound too much by a fixed composition, but to create an interesting place for the audience by sharing their knowledge with each other based on their individual strengths. The prospect of the group's activities for the time being is to hold regular independent concerts with unique themes for each performance.
The name of the group, "4 Brothers," was suggested by Ito, and conveys the image of a group that has a sense of togetherness and warmth like a classmate family, while having a kind of separate personality like brothers.
