Business Overview
Ensemble Toneseek, a group whose repertoire includes contemporary music, held its third regular concert. This time, under the theme of "sensitization," a new initiative was held in the spring of 2024 to solicit works from young composers, and 4 works were selected from 26 entries. After a “reading session ” in which musicians and composers had a chance to experiment and talk with each other, they performed at a performance in July. In addition to the works selected from the public, "Serigraphy" composed by J. Schellhorn (first performance in Japan) and "Evening Face" composed by Toshio HOSOKAWA were also taken up.

Profile
[Ensemble Tone Seek]
Formed by composer Tetsuro Kubo in 2022. The group consists of young, up-and-coming musicians whose main repertoire is contemporary music.
The concerts he has held so far feature contemporary programs based on his research into international music festivals in Europe, as well as Schoenberg's "Clown Possessed by the Moon," the gold standard of classical contemporary music.
As a new activity guideline from 2024, the group aims to create opportunities for mutual exchange between musicians and composers in order to create works. The group also invites young composers to submit their works and conducts reading sessions.
