Setagaya Ume Matsuri Executive Committee: The Setagaya Ume Matsuri is now 46 years old, and every year, many traditional Japanese events such as rice cake pounding, tea ceremony, and drum performance are held. In order to let many people know about Japanese tradition and pass it on to the next generation, all the people involved welcomed the visitors and it was very lively.

About 40 members mainly from the local shopping district and town association plan and manage the event. The Setagaya Plum Festival Executive Committee works with the entire community, including the local shopping district, neighborhood associations, the Red Cross, schools, and people involved in events, to promote the festival.
